Dr Rajinder Atwal, MD, CCFP, FCFP has been in practice for 28 years providing comprehensive care to many including marginalized communities. She is the medical director and CEO and founder of multiple nonprofit organizations. She is a preceptor for aspiring healthcare professionals and an examiner for the Canadian College of Family Physicians. She is also the CEO and founder of Women Stem Mentorship where she has developed programs to support women and teenage girls to support careers in STEM. Her mentorship has impacted hundreds of mentees from culturally diverse and disadvantaged groups. She has won many awards including Women of the Year in Health and Biotech 2023, Female Achiever Lifetime 2023 and The Waterfront Award for Science and Technology in 2023. She was also named one of the 100 Women Power Leaders of Asian Origin in 2023, a 2024 Global Recognition Award, and she was recognized as Canada's Top 3 Mentors at The Women Empowerment Awards in 2024. She received an honorary doctorate from CETA University in 2025 and was awarded Exemplary Woman Leader of the Year in Healthcare in 2025 at The House of Lords, The Palace of Westminster in London, UK.
